We've been to CSB five times now and have stayed at Sea of Joy for three of those visits. It is hands down the nicest, most comfortable home we've rented. We always feel like invited guests of the owners thanks to Wendy's hospitality and thoughtfulness. The beach access and view are fantastic, the privacy is unmatched, and the house itself is well designed and well maintained. Once you've stayed at Sea of Joy, you won't enjoy other homes as much--trust me, we made that mistake one year thinking we should "change it up," and by the middle of our stay, we were looking into whether Sea of Joy was available for a last minute booking. We learned our lesson and will always stay here when visiting CSB!

We have stayed at Sea of Joy several times, and it is always a wonderful experience. We really enjoyed our visit this November! We love the location, the ease of access to the main road and the wonderful views of both the gulf and the bay. The house has everything a person or family would need, and is always in perfect condition, with everything working and in order. The furniture is so comfortable and we feel right at home when we stay here. We've stayed at other homes, and this one is our favorite and where we prefer to stay on our visits. The owners are very nice and they do a great job to make sure visitors are happy and taken care of, too! We hated to have to leave at the end of the week, and we will definitely come back to Sea of Joy again!

We have been going to 30A for over 25 years. Decided to take a last minute vacation and explore a different area. Cape San Blas did not disappoint. Just what we needed to unplug before the start of school. Sea of Joy is the most well appointed home we have ever rented. They literally have everything you need for a wonderful week. Sea of Joy definitely lived up to its name. It fit our family perfectly. From the beautifully designed house with exceptional outdoor space to the private beach with stunning sunsets, this home has it all. The layout of the home could not have been any better for adults and children. The view of the ocean and beach were seen from almost every area. We have stayed at the cape several times but every member of my family commented that Sea of Joy was the best yet. I also loved the area, within walking distance to the general store and beach planet. I personally did not want to leave!! The owners thought of everything to make it enJOYable. 2 dishwashers, 2 kitchen sinks, 2 laundry rooms, 1 fabulous ice machine, 1 elevator, 1 spacious & gulf breeze-cooled upper porch & about 100 steps to the water -- alll added up to 1 wonderful week at the beach for our family of 8 adults. Highly recommend this beautiful home and its well-appointed amenities!

Our time at Sea of Joy was once again a delight. We are a family of six adults and two children. The house easily accommodates our group. It is immaculate and well maintained. All modern conveniences are available with a nice fully stocked kitchen and bar area. Beds are comfortable and there’s plenty of room to spread out. Staying in is easily accommodated but good local food is close-by on the cape or an easy ride to Port St. Joe. The beach is lovely and seems so private. I can’t imagine a better place to enjoy the beautiful southern coast.

This house is beautiful! We had 3 families in our traveling party, and each family had their own space. The kids loved the extra living room for watching tv and hanging out. The Beach is Beautiful and never crowded. Amazing views, Great outdoor sitting areas. And best of all, you can walk to the gas station and Beach planet. There is also bike and kayak rentals within walking distance.

We loved everything about Sea of Joy. The views from the living room and deck were stunning, and the screened porch was perfect for outdoor meals. All bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and well furnished. The kitchen had everything we needed for the week. We couldn''t have asked for a better beach house....it was a perfect home away from home.

We obviously love the Sea of Joy, since we have already booked it for next year. Seeing the picture on my right makes me sad I''m not there! It works well for our whole family ranging in age from 28-85!! It is so well stocked you could cook an entire Thanksgiving meal without bringing a single pan or dish.

This was our second vacation here and we have already booked for a third visit next year because Sea of Joy is the perfect beach house. Everything is so well thought out, from the well-stocked kitchen, to the lovely appointed and comfortable living areas and bedrooms. We especially appreciate the size and layout of the main deck which allowed us all to sit comfortably while enjoying the beautiful view of the gulf. We''ve stayed in many beach homes; Sea of Joy is far and away the best, not only because of all the great features, but also because of property owner Wendy and manager and their care and special attention to every detail.

Property was in great shape, clean, well-organized, had all the kitchen essentials, ice maker and beverage fridge a real plus. No complaints!

A great house for a large family vacation. Very well-equipped kitchen and lots of beach equipment. Enough room for some quiet space and privacy even with teenagers! Right on the quiet and less crowded part of the beach.

We had a great experience. Everything you could imagine was provided. 4 BRS and a bunk room for the girls. The common living area was huge and allowed for all of us to mingle without feeling cramped. Tastefully furnished. Kitchen was huge with separate bar area for drinks which included a frig and ice maker. The elevator came in handy for loading and unloading days. Right on the beach, no houses on either side made you feel you have the beach to yourself.

Our trip was perfect. House was wonderful and had everything we needed. Beautiful location and very clean. We would definitely book this home again!

We were blessed to spend our vacation at Sea of Joy. This was by far the cleanest, nicest most well-appointed home we’ve stayed in on the Cape. No detail or amenity was left out! Ready to book again!

The house was exactly as described and very clean. We were looking for a house on the beach and away from the crowd, just what we found. The layout was thoughtful and very functional, the furnishings were in great shape, and everything was more than adequately stocked (especially the kitchen supplies/tools). Overall, it was a great stay.

We arrived and were not disappointed. This was our second time at Sea of Joy and we were able to just relax and soak in all the beauty of the ocean and this lovely home. Our adult children and grandchildren joined us, so we had a full home but plenty of space for everyone. The home is well maintained, and help is just a text away. We highly recommend this home for those wanting a quiet place to rejuvenate body & spirit. This is a very special place. We plan to be back next year.

We stayed March 2022, with three families. The house has a great set up and accommodations. We love that the house is so close to the beach, and its proximity to the gas station and beach planet. The house has everything you need, beach gear, Great kitchen, and outside bathroom so you don''t have to walk through the house with sandy feet.

We spent spring break at Sea of Joy. The home was very comfortable with plenty of space for our group of ten. It was a treat to find a well-stocked kitchen with everything needed to cook a gourmet meal. The outdoor dining table on the screened-in section of the porch was a great place for breakfast overlooking the beach. The living room provided plenty of seating for watching TV or visiting and the first level sitting room was a nice bonus space for our group of 5 teenagers. We found all of the beds to be comfortable and the bathrooms were large enough for couples to share without feeling crowded. The owner emailed an extensive list of amenities included in the home; this list was very helpful when planning what to pack. In talking with her before arrival it was clear she and her husband put a great deal of time into planning everything possible to assist their guests in having an outstanding vacation rental experience. The property manager was quick to respond to all questions. A bit about the location: the beach is wide and the sand is soft, the water was chilly during our stay but that is to be expected in early March. Having a bonfire on the beach was a treat and taking long walks along the edge of the surf was a daily treat. This is a very quiet area, family-oriented, no parties or spring break crowd....just want we were looking for. As fellow vacation rental owners, we are very picky about where we stay if we are not traveling to our properties in Grand Cayman. Sea of Joy fit the bill for a perfect place to call our home-away-from-home during our visit to Cape San Blas. Would we rerun? I can assure you that if the Cayman borders are not open by the end of the summer we will be planning a return visit to Cape San Blas and Sea of Joy will be our destination of choice.

Our family of 5 adults and 4 children had a wonderful time in this beautiful house. The second living room was great for the kids and their games. Two laundry rooms were a blessing! One of those places that you must see to believe how beautiful it is! Made reservations for next year! Due to Covid 19 situation, we ate all our meals in, and the kitchen was a pleasure to use. We are a group of friends who have been traveling together for years. We really enjoyed the location, house, owners and the rental company who takes care of the house. Everything was as the said plus more. Best vacation ever!! Would recommend this property to friends and relatives. Wish we could have stayed longer. We were just getting into "beach time". Because of different phone carriers we really did not know what time it was and it really didn''t mater. Loved the house anyway!!

I''m not sure how we''ll ever be able to stay anywhere else on Cape San Blas. Sea of Joy is fabulous! The owners have thought of everything, from a well-stocked kitchen to a cabinet full of beach towels to a storage room stocked with chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. Everything was clean and well-maintained; we could tell the owners, and the cleaners really work hard to keep it that way. We ate dinner on the screened porch every night so we could soak up the amazing sunsets. Can''t wait to return!

We had the opportunity to stay in this wonderful beach house twice now and both stays were great. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. The water views are memorizing from all three of the decks and we loved just hanging out there and watching for dolphins. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious. The bedrooms and baths are lovely spaces and the size of the house make privacy no issue. We loved it so much we hope to go back for a third visit.

The home was beautiful. Everything we needed was there and more. The beach is just steps away and the sunsets were amazing. We already booked for next year. Love Cape San Blas

We couldn''t have hoped for a better week at Sea of Joy: a beautiful home with the best beach views on CSB; a wonderfully appointed kitchen; a generous supply of beach and home necessities; room for everyone on the decks, and in the living and dining areas; and southern hospitality complete with flowers and a welcome card. We felt completely secure during TS Fred''s visit, and were able to enjoy the beauty of a passing storm. We''re already planning our next visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea of Joy. There was a bouquet of flowers and a personal note on the counter when we checked in. The amenities were just as Wendy had stated. The two laundry areas, two coffee makers, two mini-fridges, the ice maker, the beach chairs, and sand toys were so appreciated.

We were cancelled from our normal scheduled beach vacation in Santa Rosa Beach - we were able to reserve a week at Cape San Blas which turned out to be a great place to vacation. We will be making Cape San Blas our annual beach vacation spot from now on.

Our stay was a work retreat for my department... All the ladies were in awe of this beautiful home and the scenic views of the beach and ocean. We all had a great time!! I highly recommend this rental unit. You will not be disappointed!

Sea of Joy exceeded all of our expectations. The home layout was ideal for our family of 6 adults - 2 couples, 2 singles and two children, a toddler and 9-month old. We arrived on a stormy day but the rest of our stay was delightful. The view was amazing from both decks and the beach was easily accessible. Wendy was so kind to call and make sure that we had all our questions answered regarding our stay. She gave good instructions on the elevator operation. Having elevator access made settling in and checking out a breeze. With continuing concerns regarding the pandemic, we brought our groceries and planned our meals for dining at the house. The kitchen had literally everything we needed for preparing a variety of meals including the large stock pot for low country boil. St. Joe’s Seafood is just down the street and we really enjoyed the fresh shrimp and snow crab legs. We discovered a great breakfast option across the street next-door to the Beach Shop - Scallop Cove. Get there early or call in an order for biscuits, bagels or donuts. Also another fun place for do-nuts is next door to the Trading Post - Weber’s. Definitely worth the wait in line for the cro-nuts (fried croissants)! We enjoyed our Happy Hours with the convenient bar set-up in the family room adjoining the kitchen. Nightly sunsets were truly breath-taking as were sunrises from the deck out front. We enjoyed a fire on the beach a couple of evenings while there. So nice that the cape allows. This was our first trip to Cape San Blas. The quiet beaches make family time so enjoyable. We set up chairs and umbrellas each morning and were back and forth to the beach all day long. The Nautica chairs provided are top-notch. Hopefully, we will find our way back soon!

This is the 10th year that our family has traveled somewhere for Thanksgiving. Sea of Joy is absolutely the most wonderful house we’ve ever rented. Everything inside the home is pristine, decor beautiful, views phenomenal and amenities over the top! This was truly a phenomenal experience! The owner of the home called us before our stay to welcome us and ask if we had any special requests. In my years of renting, I’ve never had this happen. Overall, our family agreed this has been our best vacation ever all due to staying at Sea of Joy. Highly recommend!!

Perfect from start to finish. Right on the beach. Empty lots to either side. House well stocked with plenty of beach toys chairs cooking utensils grill games lcd TVs etc. High end fittings and fixtures, you will feel like you are in a luxury hotel. Will return without a doubt.

Oh my goodness, I could go on and on about how wonderful this vacation rental is. The owner is amazing and walked us through everything before our trip. Her attention to detail is amazing and we wanted for nothing while we were there. None of us could get over the attention to detail in this house. We have never stayed in a home so well equipped. Due to all of the changes happening in 2020, we had to reschedule from our original date. They were unbelievably kind to us and so easy to work with to get our dates changed. You will not be disappointed staying in this home. It is absolute paradise!

This is our 2nd year staying in the Sea of Joy and once again it did not disappoint. It has become our favorite time of year because we are able to gather the entire family in this beautiful property with the absolute best view. The Cape is magical, but the Sea of Joy makes it even more perfect. The house has everything that you could possibly need and more. It is always clean and has the classy comfy beach decor that makes you feel right at home even on vacation. There are plenty of beach gear and chairs for all guest that are also provided. The owners and management have always had the best communication if we ever had any questions, which always made our stay even more relaxing. We look forward to continuing our tradition year after year.

Frankly, this is the best beach house we have ever rented. It perfectly suited our needs for a family vacation, particularly in the context of the recent coronavirus pandemic. The house itself is situated directly on the beachfront, with easy access via the private boardwalk. It really felt like you had your own private stretch of beach, and the beach itself was beautiful. The house amenities provided everything needed for an extended vacation for a large family, and I can say that the amenities are very high quality. Everything felt new. We cooked all of our meals while there, and we did not need to bring any equipment. Everything needed for the beach (chairs, umbrellas, toys...) was included. Views from the two deck levels were fantastic, and the screened-in dining area was well thought out. The elevator was quite helpful for moving luggage and coolers. The owners and management were very responsive and helpful throughout the process. The area felt very family-friendly, and it did not have the "party vibe" of Panama City, nor the dense condo feel of Destin. We can highly recommend this house, and we hope to visit it again in the future.

I can''t even begin to describe what a wonderful respite Sea of Joy was for us during the beginning of the Covid19 outbreak. Though we couldn''t be on the beach, we really didn''t even miss it because the views from the house and wonderful porches are so spectacular. Sitting on the porches may be even better than actually sitting on the beach. This house is so well equipped. We cooked every meal, and only left the house once for a grocery run. Everything we needed was at our fingertips, and all of the drawers and cabinets were very well organized. The beds were also super comfortable. And the bath towels were so plush--my husband asked me to check the label so that we could order some for our own house! We''ve rented probably 30 beach houses over the past ten years, and this one is hands down the best! Our hearts were heavy from all that''s going on in the world, but our spirits were lifted by the beautiful change in scenery, and the amazing views from Sea of Joy. We hope to return very soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea of Joy! The home is beautiful and immaculate. There was a lovely note and fresh flowers welcoming us, which was a nice touch. We had everything we needed and then some. The location is amazing, the views were spectacular, and it was peaceful and quiet, which was just what I was looking for. The furnishings were very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the comfort of the deck furnishings, as I spend most of my time out there watching the ocean and the gorgeous sunsets. My family stayed here over Thanksgiving for the week. It was a wonderful stay. Both adult kids and their husbands had king beds and private baths. A pack and play and a highchair were provided with made our stay easier with toddlers and babies. The home is just gorgeous with every detail thought of. Great kitchen to cook in with a million dollar view of the Gulf. The beds were so comfy we were looking of the tags so we could get one.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay! This home is set up perfectly for a large group whether adults only or kids included! The home was clean and all reported comfortable beds. I even stretched out on one of the bunk beds and it was comfy as well! Many spots to enjoy a moment of solitude as well as group gatherings. We cooked most meals and the kitchen had everything you could imagine and possibly need. Everything at this home is high end. The outdoor spaces make this home very special, outdoor dining space, two deck areas for relaxing. You can step right out to the door and enjoy the beach. Lots of parking for cars and boat! We travel frequently and this is a home that is setup so you can pack only your clothes, stop at the grocery store in Port Saint Joe, arrive at the home and have everything you need for a beach trip.....umbrellas, beach towels, beach chairs for the entire group! Highly recommend this home!

Stunning views, easy accessibility, luxuriously equipped. The unbelievable views include both the bay, as well as the white powder sand against shades of aqua gulf waters. These allow for awe-inspiring beginnings and endings each day. The location is fantastic as we had beach privacy, in addition to quick access to rentals, groceries, shopping, dining and worship. The Sea of Joy was so well equipped and managed that we wanted for NOTHING! We have been staying in beach rentals for over 40 years and have never encountered such a first-class accommodation that was not pretentious, but rather cozy, and homey and fun! The spacious, open floor plan allowed us to have plenty of space to ourselves, as well as plenty of room to gather all together...indoors, or out, screened in, or not. The elevator came in handy for those needed help hauling luggage, groceries or bodies! ;-) The equipment available for beach lounging and playing allows you to pack a bathing suit (not even a towel or a beach chair do you need), and head to the shore. We HIGHLY recommend the Sea of Joy on Cape San Blas!!

This is a beautiful house located right on the sand on the Gulf side. The house comes very well equipped, with lots of toys games sand and beach toys. Everything you could want. The kitchen is also well-equipped. It’s a stunningly beautiful location. We saw manta rays, pelicans, crabs, and lots of fish. House is well organized with and upstairs set up for grandma and grandpa kitchen and gathering space. Kids bedrooms and parents bedrooms are downstairs.

Sea of Joy was the perfect beach house for the week. We have rented many beach houses over the years at several different beaches. Sea of Joy was by far our favorite to date. The owners have thought of everything a visitor might need during their stay and the house is perfectly designed for a large group allowing for large gathering areas along with ample private areas to relax. The elevator makes all the difference during your arrival and departure, not to mention the huge benefits if you have members of your party that may struggle with stairs. We have been coming the Cape for several years and this was definitely the nicest house we''ve stayed in thus far. It has everything you need - appliances, cookware, baking needs, even the extras like saran wrap and laundry detergent, and all your beach needs! The elevator made it very convenient to get all our groceries up to the kitchen and helped my elderly mom move from the top floor of the house to beach more easily. The space on the beach was great , not too narrow or crowded. Our kids had room for a soccer field and more! Favorite house on the Cape!

Our family of 12 enjoyed a wonderful week at Sea of Joy. Everything was very clean and good quality plus the extra beach amenities provided made our stay simplicity itself. They had the best-equipped kitchen I have ever cooked in. Double ovens and two dishwashers made it all a breeze. We cooked all our meals in and never lacked for anything. The smaller LR downstairs gave our teens a place to do their video games complete with microwave and mini fridge. We ate dinner in the screened porch and later observed the awesome sunset from the upper deck. The upper deck was everyone’s favorite hangout when not on the beach. We grilled here most nights. You can also view the very active dolphins from here during the day. We sat here in the mornings and could watch our kids playing on the beach. One of the best places we have ever stayed and we are frequent visitors to the Forgotten Coast. Neither of the lots on either side are developed so you have a nice stretch of beach to yourself.

The home and the furnishings are outstanding. So beautifully decorated and so very comfortable. The amenities are simply over the top. Everything you could possibly need or want! The layout provides the perfect space for large groups. And the location of the house is very private. The deck furnishings are just so beautiful. It is so relaxing to rest on the decks enjoying the sounds of the sea and the spectacular sunsets and sunrises. Yes, decks for both, with views of the gulf and the bay. The bedrooms are luxurious, with lovely linens. The owner is so kind and helpful. They provide everything to make your stay exceptional. Our family enjoyed every minute of our stay at Sea of Joy. The beach is steps from the house, enjoyed by both adults and children. As one family member said, everything about the house and the location is just “jaw dropping” It was absolutely a Joy for our entire family to spend our time together in this very special and beautiful home. We had a wonderful stay at Sea of Joy. I would give it a 5+ star rating. The hosts were easy to work with and supplied some nice amenities to get us started! The house is brand new and absolutely beautiful!
It is decorated so well and seems the owners have thought of everything from luggage racks, a beautifully equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, great showers, gorgeous views, games, relaxing rooms, etc. The deck space is perfect and we loved the boardwalk to the beach. The beach is close and the sand is white and the water is clear! It is the perfect spot to really relax in comfortable luxury. I would highly recommend this house!
